An interesting article in Nature on the varying popularity of coat patterns in domesticated horses. Up until the Middle Ages spotted phenotypes (appaloosa, pinto, etc) were popular, but after that solid coat colours became preferred.

Your synapsid restorations are far more accurate than most out there. The Palaeozoic palaeo-community needs more people like you.

I have even seen images of therapsids, even as far as the gorgonopsids and anomodonts, with scales! As in, really?
